15 Beauty Hacks You Should Do In The Morning

If you’re not a morning person, morning may be the last time you feel like getting too ambitious in front of the mirror. But a few easy beauty hacks right before you head out the door can make your whole day come together as far as your appearance goes. Especially if you wake up with bad hair or a tired look. Below are some lifesaving morning beauty hacks.

Tame those flyaways: Wake up with some really nasty flyaways? Simply rub either a drop of coconut oil or Vaseline between your hands, and run your hands through your hair. Instantly manageable locks.

Tea bags under the eyes, stat: If you woke up looking none too awake, apply some damp, cool tea bags to your under-eye area for 5-10 minutes for instantly rejuvenated eyes.

Perfect the messy bun: If you didn’t get the chance to wash your hair, a messy bun will look natural and hold well on that second or even third-day clean.

Avoid heat tools: Heat tools dry and damage hair, leading to bad hair mornings down the line. Wash your hair and then eat breakfast, letting your hair dry in a towel as much as possible.

Get good face wipes: A multitasking face wipe is a morning dream. The good ones will tone and cleanse, like Olay’s 4-in-1 Daily Facial Cloths.

Use the right towel: To cut back on time blow drying (and thus damaging) hair, make sure you have a super absorbent microfiber towel.

Bedhead it with texturizing cream: If you woke up looking like a surfer, steer right into the skid. Add some texturizing cream and make it look like you did it on purpose, and it took hours of effort.

Have your favorite essential oils on hand: Essential oils have a host of benefits like moisturizing and cleansing, and the scents are amazing. Have them somewhere out in the open so that you’ll remember to add a dash of natural scent to your wrists before you go out.

Put it all on ice: Adding a dose of coolness will tighten pores and give your complexion the perkiness it may need. Wrap some ice cubes in a thin cloth or paper towel, let the cubes melt just slightly and rub it all over your face. Ice will also reduce the appearance of dark circles and baggy eyes. This is one of our favorite beauty hacks.

Exfoliate your lips: While you’re brushing your teeth, gently scrub your lips as well. That will get rid of any residue you might have woken up with.

Spot wash your hair: Have oily bangs? Just wash your bangs.

Remember the highlighter: Adding a good highlighter product into your makeup routine will give you a fresh, bright appearance, no matter how little you may have slept.

Remember the lip moisture: Don’t forget to apply lip moisturizer to prevent cracked lips throughout the day.

Apply concealer the right way: If you really need a pick-me-up for your appearance, apply under-eye concealer the right way. Go for a shade or two lighter than your skin tone for a subtle highlighting and brightening effect under your eyes.

Skip the cleanser: Prone to dry skin? Only use a cleanser at night. That will clear off the debris of the day, when you need cleansing the most. In the morning, just lightly rinse your face with cool to lukewarm water.
