4 Natural Facial Hair Removal Methods That Won’t Gross You Out
You do everything to take care of your skin: exfoliate, tone, moisturize and you use the best makeup hacks you can find. Only to realize it’s ruined by that unsightly facial hair that’s back again. Your best bet for getting rid of facial hair is to plain remove it, but waxing for facial hair removal can be very irritating and painful. Below are several natural ways for facial hair removal without the wax.
Egg White Mask
The beauty of egg whites is that once they harden they form a wax-like stiffness around the hairs that you can use to pull the hairs out. One recipe is to combine one egg white with a few pinches of cornflower and a palmful of sugar. Mix well, apply the paste to your skin and then let it dry. Once it dries, you should be able to grab one end of this paste like a sheet of paper and then pull the whole thing off. It may be a little painful, but it’ll get that hair right off.
Egg Whites & Paper Towel
Another option is to use egg whites and a paper towel to remove those fine hairs. As an added bonus, it will even remove blackheads, like a Biore strip. Have an egg white or two in a bowl (depending on how big the area that needs to be covered is). Use a makeup brush to paint the egg white onto your skin. Lay the paper towel over it. Then paint more egg white over the paper towel. You can add one or two more layers if you have very stubborn hairs, repeating the paper towel then egg white pattern. Then let the whole mask dry. Once it’s dry, grab ahold of the edge of the paper and pull up in one quick motion. It’ll hurt far less than waxing. Bye bye hairs, and maybe even blackheads.
Turmeric
This common spice has long been used in India to get rid of facial hair. Combine turmeric with water to form a paste, and apply the paste to the troubled area. Leave the paste on for fifteen minutes, and then wipe it off with a washcloth. You may want to scrub for a few seconds to release the hairs. Repeat a few times per week until you see the desired results. Turmeric has even been reputed to prevent future hair growth.
Chickpea Flour
This is another popular remedy out of India. When looking for chickpea flower, you might also find it referred to as gram flour, besan, cici flour or garbanzo bean flour. Combine chickpea flour with milk to form a paste. You can also add a pinch or two of turmeric for added hair removal benefits. Apply the paste over the hair in the direction of the hair growth, and then leave it on for a half an hour. Then rub the mask in the opposite direction that the hair grows. Wet your fingers if you need some moisture for easier rubbing. Rub for a couple minutes, and then rinse. Finer facial hair should be exfoliated away. Repeated applications will reduce hair growth overall.
