Feel like your skin could use a boost? You could try to use yet another new facial cleanser or try the newest beauty craze from Korea. Then again, if you want to keep things simple for right now, there are ways to boost your skin’s appearance with some simple daily routines. From remembering your vitamins to working out, the following daily routines for great skin will get your skin glowing in no time.
Take your vitamins
Instead of layering on yet another skin care product, take care of your skin from the inside out. And the easiest way to do that is to take some vitamins. If you don’t take one already, find a quality multivitamin that has the widest range of vitamins and minerals.
Vitamins you’ll want to keep an eye out for are A and B complex in particular. When taken internally, these play key roles in boosting skin health. Vitamin A helps with repairing and maintaining skin tissue, and B complex contains biotin that forms the basis of skin.
Detox water
One of the top tricks to get glowing, healthy skin is to try a detox water regimen. Guzzling water alone can help hydrate and plump skin. But when you add detox ingredients, you get a boost of key vitamins that help with healthy skin and antioxidants. For instance, soak some fresh mango in some water for a shot of nourishing vitamin A and antioxidants. And mangoes taste amazing, too!
Remember the antioxidants
In addition to getting antioxidants internally, using an antioxidant serum during your routine could be the healthiest thing you’ve ever done. The best way to fight signs of ageing is to prevent it, and antioxidants serums do just that. Look for a serum containing vitamins C and E, which will help your skin repair itself as it encounters environmental stressors.
Always remove makeup
This always bears mentioning, as leaving makeup on is the single worst thing you can do for healthy skin. And sometimes it’s so easy to forget, whether it’s falling asleep on a textbook with makeup on during studying or passing out in bed after the world’s longest day. Some simple makeup remover wipes right next to the bed could be a lifesaver.
Get a good workout
Working out has gotten something of a bad rap among the beauty world. People seem to want to live in fear of sweating, as that’s seen to clog pores. But working out could be one of the best things you do for your skin. The main benefit of getting a good sweat going is that it lowers the stress hormone cortisol, which has been linked to stress-related breakouts, ageing and clogged pores. Make sure to cleanse after a good sweat and you’ll increase your skin’s health.
