Traveling is all fun and games until you realize you can’t bring all your favorite products along. I would have to bring an extra suitcase if I were going to attempt that.

Whether I’m flying or driving, these are the products that absolutely need to make it into my bag. Trust me, I’ve forgotten some of these before and it basically ruined my whole trip (not really, but you know what I mean).

Bringing these 5 things with me no matter where I’m going is mostly personal preference, but chances are, you bring some of the same things with you as well.

Dry shampoo

If you’ve never used dry shampoo, your life is about to change. Since showering is overrated, dry shampoo has saved my life on multiple occasions, and I am forever grateful. Even if my hair isn’t super dirty, I’ll spritz a little all over for more volume and a yummy smell. Batiste has my favorite one, not only because it’s cheap, but it works.

Nude lip gloss

As simple as this sounds, nude lip gloss is one thing I cannot travel without. Actually, I can’t live without it. Even if I’m only wearing a light BB cream and mascara, a glossy lip tops off the whole look and makes me look more alive. Plus, I can throw it over pretty much any lipstick for a night out. A true must-have.

Self-tanning bronzer

A lot of times before a trip, I’ll apply a ton of self-tanner so that I look bronzed all weekend. But you know how that goes, the tan doesn’t always last as well on your face as it does on your body. To prevent this tragedy, I found this bronzer that literally keeps your face tan even after you apply it. It’s nothing crazy, but I definitely notice a difference on the color of my forehead and cheeks if I use it regularly. Perfect for a long weekend.

Travel-size body spray

After driving or flying, I don’t smell like “Beautiful Day” by Bath & Body Works, that’s for sure. If I have plans right away or I’m in a hurry, I can just pull the little body spray out of my bag and spritz it all over.

A good mascara

This one is obvious, but half the time when I travel, the only eye makeup I wear during the day is mascara. You know your own eyelashes better than I do, but I can almost guarantee that this mascara will make them look amazing. Slap on a few coats and you’re good to go.
