6 Natural Ways To Fight Wrinkles

When it comes to fighting wrinkles, there are a ton of causes to watch out for. Wrinkles can be caused by toxins in the environment, putting too much stress on your body, using the wrong face products, too much sun exposure, not watching your antioxidant intake, not keeping skin moisturized and not promoting quick cell turnover. It sounds like a lot of trouble, but all these causes can be avoided with some simple lifestyle changes. Here are six natural ways to fight wrinkles.

Improve Your Exfoliation Regimen

Exfoliation promotes quick cell turnover, meaning more youthful, new skin. So whether you go the natural route and use a sugar scrub on your face, or you have your favorite commercial exfoliator, make sure you keep up with those daily face scrubs.

Keep Skin Moisturized

Dry skin will also crease more. So make sure your skin stays moisturized with a quality moisturizing routine. If you want to stay natural with it, coconut oil and argan oil are great skin moisturizers. Argan oil is a good option for the face if you have a more oily complexion. Both can be rubbed in like a regular moisturizer once or twice a day.

Also make sure to use a moisturizing mask at least weekly. These will supercharge your skin with moisture throughout the week. They don’t have to be difficult. You can use olive oil, bananas, avocados, raw honey and coconut oil. Use one or mix the ingredients together in equal parts, and let the mixture sit on your face for about 30 minutes.

Keep An Eye On Antioxidants

One of the biggest enemies to youthful-looking skin is free radicals, which are like our environment’s anti-aging agents. So naturally, you’ll want to look for antioxidants. Eat foods strong in antioxidants like blueberries, cranberries, spinach and walnuts. Topically, look for products that are strong natural antioxidants, like vitamin E oil and argan oil.

Get Your Beauty Sleep

One of the cheapest and most natural ways to fight wrinkles is to get enough sleep. Not sleeping puts stress on your whole system, including your skin. We’ve all been there—where a poor night of sleep leaves the under-eye area full of lines. It can be hard in this day and age to get our recommended eight hours, but it’s an effort we should all make so those lines don’t become permanent.

Drink Lots Of Water

Make sure to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out, as well. Sip water before you feel thirsty throughout the day to make sure your skin stays hydrated. Though the recommended eight glasses per day is more of a ballpark figure. You may need more or you may need less, so figure out how much water you feel optimal drinking by trial and error.

Have A Good SPF On Hand

One of the fastest ways to age your appearance is to get too many sunburns. You’ll end up with dark marks and wrinkles. Make sure to have a good SPF. Look for makeup and moisturizer products that contain SPF, as well.
