For women, eyelashes can make or break your entire look most of the time. However, despite the fact that we always treat this part of their eyes carefully in order to make them beautiful, women, or people in general, do not really know much when it comes to their eyelashes. But did you you know that eyelashes shed? This occurs even without you knowing.

How many eyelashes do you lose a day?

If you are concerned about the number of eyelashes that you lose in a day, you do not need to concern yourself about it too much because the number is not very big. Generally, it is found that a human being will lose at least one to four eyelashes in a day on a normal basis. Therefore, when you are looking in the mirror and you find that there are one or two eyelashes on your face, this is normal. However, do you know why or how we always lose a number of eyelashes every day?

What causes eyelashes to fall?

In a normal situation, our eyelashes fall because they have a very short life-span, or they do not have a strong foundation. They are created that way. Therefore, the way our body can cope with this situation is that it regrows the fallen eyelashes in a couple of days so that the number or eyelashes under your eyes will remain more or less the same. However, the number of the fallen eyelashes will increase when you are experiencing a medical conditon. That is why fallen eyelashes sometimes become an indicator when it comes to the health of the body. For example, if you find out that you are losing more than ten eyelashes, you may be experiencing a lot of stress. Just like our hair, our eyelashes will show the symptoms of stress by falling off.

Can you reduce how many eyelashes do you lose a day?

If the shed is normal (the one to four eyelashes shed in one day) you do not have to do anything. However, if the number of fallen eyelashes is just too much for you, there might be something that you need to do about it. To start, you may need to have a self-diagnosis about how you have been feeling these days. Do you feel stressed? Have you been eating anything that is bad for your body? Ask yourself these questions and if the answer is yes, then you know what to do.

If you feel stressed, it may seem that you need to cool your stress levels down. You can do this by having some me time or family time. Spending some amount of time looking at something green or blue, instead of looking at your piles of work will help you in reducing the falling eyelashes.
