Life with Lauren: Mastering the Bohemian Look
If there’s one thing I absolutely love, it’s a boho look. In case you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know, a bohemian look is a style that emulates hippie glam and a carefree form of fashion. Thought to be first discovered/worn by Sienna Miller, the boho look is more popular than ever. And there’s good reason.
I’ve rounded up some of the pieces you might need to perfect your boho look. While “boho” cannot easily be defined or pinpointed, there are a few things you definitely need to make everyone think you’re a hippie now.
I love jewelry, and I especially love piling it on. Intricate, delicate, and crystal pieces all suit the boho look, and you pretty much can’t overdo it. Layer all the necklaces, bracelets and rings you want.
You don’t need braids to rock a boho look, but if you’re into them, they might finish off the whole vibe. Whether it’s fishtail, french, messy or side, a braid screams boho (plus this entire outfit above, I must add).
IDK about you, but when I think of boho, I think of flowy and carefree clothing. A flowy top is not only super cute and versatile, it’s comfortable. So duh, why wouldn’t you stock up on some cute ones?
Can you tell that I’ve had fun finding boho style inspiration? My closet is in need of every single thing I’ve found so far. Anyway, accessories complete your entire look. Even if your clothing is pretty simple and plain, adding the right amount of accessories, including hats, shoes, sunglasses, headbands, etc. can turn you into a boho goddess instantly.
It doesn’t matter if you’re headed to Coachella, running errands or going to a concert with your friends. A boho look is always appropriate.
Do you have something on your mind beauty and lifestyle related? Ask me in the comments, and I’ll have an answer for you next week in my column! Don’t be shy, I’m up for the challenge.
