As the seasons change so do my favorite products. After recently moving to Tennessee from Illinois, I quickly realized that it’s a bit more humid and hot here than I’m used to. Now it’s nothing crazy, but I definitely sweat more than I did before. Cute.

With this being said, some of my current ~fav products~ have to do with beating the summer heat, but some don’t. My mood on any given day is really what determines which products I use, but there are a few that have been by my side consistently recently. Here are my current favorite products for summer.

Treets Traditions Relaxing Chakra’s Body Cream

In the summer, I must have moisturized and glowy skin. I must. This body cream is truly incredible. It’s pretty thick, but I usually prefer that in a body cream because it really moisturizes my skin deep. Plus, it smells amazing and the scent stays with me for a long time. I apply this before bed so I can let it soak in all night.

Yes, another Treets Traditions product. They’re just that great. Who doesn’t need another delicious body scrub? This one does a great job of scrubbing off all your dead skin before applying the body cream above, or even before self-tanning.

Vita Liberata Trystal Pressed Self Tanning Bronzing Minerals

A self-tanning bronzer?! Yes, our dreams have come true. When I first got this bronzer, I wasn’t sure it would be dark enough for my skin tone. I quickly realized that it’s a totally universal shade that can provide either a light wash of color, or be built up to a more intense sun-kissed glow. Plus, it has self-tanning properties that gradually keep your skin looking tan. I notice a difference on my forehead mostly when I use it.

Vita Liberata Ten Minute Tan

Vita Liberata is one of those brands that is totally worth the splurge. So many of their products are infused with amazing ingredients like Vitamin C from Neroli and Omega Oils from Rosehip. Not sure what that really means, but I do know that it moisturizes my skin. Some self-tanners leave my skin feelings gross and dry, but all you have to do with this tanning lotion is apply it with a mitt, leave it on for 10-30 minutes (depending on your skin tone and desired color payoff), and then rinse it off in the shower. It’s pretty gradual, but it’s easy enough to do often and see subtle results to keep your tan going all summer.

Essential oils

I am obsessed with essential oils. Not only do they smell great, they have endless benefits to your health and mental clarity. My personal favorites are lavender, peppermint, and anything that is calming. We have an entire article dedicated to essential oils, read up.

Urban Decay Liquid Aura Illuminating Mix-In Medium

I love anything that makes me look glowy, and this DOES it. A mix-in medium is make to literally be mixed into your foundation, but sometimes I slather it over my entire face before my foundation for added glow. This stuff works well as a primer, a mix-in medium, a liquid highlighter to be applied on the high points, or even a body illuminator. It’s so versatile.
