I love nothing more than perusing through Sephora’s makeup, skincare, perfume and hair sections gawking at their huge selection. If I could, I would buy the entire store to be honest. Who wouldn’t?
However, it’s clear that I don’t exactly have the funds to be buying all my beauty products at Sephora (insert angry, sad, mad, depressed face here because Sephora is my sanctuary). Sometimes, I need to settle for drugstore brands for essentials that I find myself purchasing all the time.
Drugstore makeup and skincare brands have really stepped up their game in recent years, wouldn’t you agree? While they’re getting a bit more pricey than they used to be, the quality of the products offered has significantly gone up. I no longer question if the lipstick I’m buying is going to be complete crap, for the most part.
With all of this being said, there are some drugstore products I have been using for years, and I will probably never stop using. They’re staples in my beauty collection at this point.
L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup

This foundation has a great reputation, and for good reason. In my opinion, it performs like a high end foundation. It has great coverage (totally build-able), it stays looking good for hours, and it has multiple different undertones and a great shade range. I have a slightly olive undertone in my skin, so sometimes foundations look a little pink on me. Not this one.
NYX Micro Brow Pencil

I love this thing so much, I even got my mom hooked on it (hi mom). The retractable pencil is so tiny, so it’s easy to get precise little hair strokes. If I want a thinner brow, this is the product I always reach for.
e.l.f. Lock On Liner and Brow Cream

This right here is my second favorite brow product from the drugstore. I only recently discovered it, but based on the price and the quality, I had to mention it. The texture of it is so creamy and blendable, but not to the point where it just blends away.
Maybelline New York Color Sensational The Buffs Lip Color, Blushing Beige

This nude lipstick has been by my side since high school. It’s so creamy and comfortable, and topped with a pinky-nude lip gloss, it looks so pretty. I will always love this formula of lipstick.
Pacifica Beauty Dreamy Youth Day & Night Natural Face Cream

I love Pacifica as a brand, first of all. Not only is their packaging pretty (which is completely necessary), their products are natural and just good. This face lotion is the perfect balance of moisturizing and not too heavy.
Blistex Lip Balm Medex

This is one of those random products that I don’t even know how I started using it, but now I can’t stop. I can’t fall asleep without this on my lips. It’s medicated lip balm, so it prevents my lips from being chapped at all times. It tingles and it even kinda looks like a clear lip gloss, so it’s a win-win.
L’Oreal Magic Lumi Primer

If you want glowy skin, buy this primer right now. Not only does it have the prettiest sheen when you blend it in, it’s also very moisturizing. It provides the perfect dewy base for foundation. You could even use it as a subtle highlighter on the high points of your face.
