Makeup products you can wear to the gym

If you’re one of the few super humans who can make it to the gym by 6 a.m., then you probably don’t bother with makeup before you go. However, the majority of women hit the gym on their lunch breaks or after work. This means you’re probably wearing the makeup you applied earlier that morning to the gym. While working out isn’t really about keeping your looks on point, why not use makeup products you can wear to the gym without them running, smearing, or wearing off?

We decided to test out a variety of cosmetics to see which products lasted through any tough workout. Here are what we concluded as the best makeup products you can wear to the gym.

As for the formula, I love it! It has a light-medium coverage and is very buildable. I used a buffing foundation brush because that’s how I prefer to apply cushion foundations, and I find it offers the most coverage. It’s perfect for a day when you don’t want super heavy makeup, but still need it to last all day—like gym days!

Our beauty contributor Lilian tested these lip cremes, and here’s what she thought:

The lip creme smells great, like vanilla icing. It finishes as matte so there’s no glossiness. It dries quickly after application and stays put up to six hours. If you have dry lips like I do, I’d put a tiny bit of petroleum jelly before and after application to prevent your lips drying out. Overall I loved the lip cremes, and I’ve already decided to buy it in other colors!

The Milani lip creme really impressed me. Although the color was very bright, I was able to pair it with minimal eye makeup to make it the focus of my look. It smells like icing, which I love! The formula was thin enough to go on smoothly, but also very pigmented so only a little bit of product was needed. The best part: it lasted ALL DAY. I ate a salad and licked my lips and nothing came off. I put on a light layer of lip balm before applying to ensure it wasn’t too dry.
