Monday motivation: 3 hairstyles that take less than 3 minutes
Waking up with dirty hair doesn’t have to mean spending an extra hour showering to look presentable. With a little help from dry shampoo, hair ties and some patience, your hair will end up looking on point all day without too much effort. No ugly hairstyles here! We are here to help you master 3 hairstyles that take less than 3 minutes for those mornings where you’re just struggling, okay?
Have box braids? We love this box braid bun.
If your hair is clean enough to wear partially down, a half-up bun is one of the cutest ways to look presentable but also messy-chic. Spritz some dry shampoo all over your hair to soak up the excess oil and make it easier to put up. Then, gather your hair about 2 inches above your ears and gently pull it back, avoiding pulling too tight. Messy is the goal here. Wrap the hair around itself, similar to how you would with a regular messy bun, and secure it with a hair tie and a few bobby pins. Pull out some pieces around your forehead and you’re ready for the day.
Side braids are one of my favorite ways to make it look like I actually have my sh*t together. They’re cute and messy, but it also looks like you took 10 minutes to create an intricate braid. There are 2 main options here: a fishtail braid, or a regular braid. Even with greasy hair, these pretty braids can pull your entire look together, and even create a boho vibe.
Messy buns are always the go-to. Whether you wear it on top of your head like Cindy Lou Who or at the nape of your neck, this hairstyle is perfect for getting your hair out of your face while looking cute. Sprit a bunch of dry shampoo all over your roots, and even down the length of your hair. The dry shampoo will give your hair a lot more texture and make it easier to pull up and stay put. Suns out buns out.
