Ah, Monday. We love to hate you. Or, to be completely honest, maybe we are just used to hating you. Whatever the case may be, Monday isn’t always on the top of our “Things We Love About Life” list. But there are some things we can do to make those Monday blues feel a little less, well, blue.

I’ve come up with a list of three things that make me feel like I can take Mondays head on.

Two words: Lip. Stain.

I just love it when my lip stick comes off while drinking my coffee on my way to work, said no one ever. Having to worry about reapplying your lipstick is just one of those things we don’t have time for on Mondays. A simple long lasting lip color will take away the anxiety of having to reapply your lipstick every thirty minutes. Our beauty guru, Lauren Petermeyer, swears by OFRA’s long lasting liquid lipstick. So keep your lipstick on your lips and drink your coffee carefree.

Speaking of coffee…

Whether you’re a local brew girl or you prefer the PSL this fall, treating yourself to a truly good cup of coffee on Monday mornings is a must. Since Monday and coffee are basically long lost soulmates, there’s nothing that starts my Monday off better than a steaming cup of heaven on my way to work. So make time this morning to caffeinate and treat yourself to your favorite espresso.

Or Marc Jacobs Daisy. Indulging in a good perfume is an elegant way to start off any Monday. My favorite scents are Vera Wang Princess, which smells amazing with its light, floral notes, and Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse, which has a totally romantic, musky scent. Either way, good perfume has the ability to pull any outfit together and make you feel like you can take on anything Monday throws at you. Ellen tip: Spritz just a little in your hair before putting it up, and when you let your hair down midday you’ll get a whiff of freshness to keep you going for the rest of the day.
