Spring Lip Colors
Now that spring is here in full force (meaning in some places it has finally stopped snowing), you might be looking for a brighter appearance. One of the easiest ways to add some color back into your look is to experiment with new lip colors. Below are some of the hottest spring lip colors for when the weather gets even hotter.
Bright cherry red: Spring is all about bright pops of color, so go classic with a bright cherry red. These look great as stains. Try: Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in Always Red.
Soft pink: Nothing says spring like the soft hues of pink. Opt for any lipstick that gives a pale, pastel pink. Try: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink Cloud.
Coral: Coral can be a lovely shade to use if you want some bright spring color, but you want it a little on the more subtle side. Try: M.A.C Cremesheen Lipstick in Koi Coral.
Hot pink: Neon and hot colors are all the rage right now, so add some hot pink to your lips. Try: Avon Ultra Color Bold Lipstick in Fearless Fuchsia.
Bright purple: Still can’t get enough color? Go with a hot, neon purple. Try: Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color in Vibrant Violet.
Pink nude: If you’re on the more natural side, try a pinkish nude shade. That will add some color into your appearance for spring, but still allow you to keep a nude makeup look. Try: Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Penelope Pink.
Orange: Here’s is a bold spring look. Try: J.Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint in Orange Delight.
Metallic pink: Again, bright pink being a mainstay of spring shades, a metallic pink is a great option for some added shimmer. Try: Axiology Natural Organic Lipstick in The Goodness.
Champagne: This shade adds a lovely shimmer, and you can even use it lightly over other spring colors to add a glittery glow. Try: CoverGirl Colorlicious Lipstick in Champagne.
Plum: The rich hues of plum will give you glowing color without looking too insanely bright. Try: Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Color in Pretty In Plum.
Watermelon: This is a great shade that offers plenty of bright spring color. It’s verging on hot pink, but is still a bit more subtle that that. Try: Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick in Watermelon.
Deep red: If you want to add some spring color, but aren’t huge on bright colors, a deep red looks great any time of the year. Try: NARS Semi-MatteLipstick in Scarlet Empress.
Bright Coral: Here’s a great idea for rocking some bold, envious color. Try: L’Oreal Paris Infallible Le Rouge in Charismatic Coral.
Sheer gel: This is a great option if you don’t want lip colors that scream too loudly. Try: Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick. It will give a good dose of color while still being subtle and natural.
Blackberry: This color is a great look if you don’t like super bright colors but still want a daring look. The deep berry shades will give you a good dose of spring color without being too loud about it. Try: NYX Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Eden.
