The start of a new season is not just great for clothing, but also for makeup and skincare. While brands release new products throughout the year, the heaviest releases are usually in late January/February (think Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day) and late August/September (holiday). We’ve rounded up some of our favorite newly-released products.
The FENTY BEAUTY Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer is a 50-shade concealer offering, designed to complement the existing line of foundation and setting powder. It’s creamy and long-wear and you can build the coverage from medium to full. For any FENTY fans and if you are already using the Pro Filt’r line, this product is a must-try, and it is well-loved online.
Urban Decay just revamped their brow offerings into a pencil/ink stain, finishing gel, powder, brow stencil guide, and volumizer. We love the Double Down Brow powder for its putty-to-powder formula and how easily it fills in sparse brows.
OPI’s spring nail polish collection is inspired by Tokyo and it’s as fun and funky as you’d expect. Check out crème shades like “Another Ramen-tic Evening” (dusty rose) and “Kanpai OPI!” (blue-gray). It’s also available in Infinite Shine and Gel Color.
The much-raved-about Kat Von D Lolita Eyeshadow Palette features eight gorgeous matte shadows, ranging from a pale pink to a rich plum. These are highly-pigmented and all work perfectly together so you can create pretty, romantic looks.
Tarte recently released an eyeshadow palette and a highlight and blush one as well. The Tarteist™ PRO Remix Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette is a fairly neutral, shimmer-heavy product with some pops of brighter colors. It’s mineral-based and super blendable. The Tarteist™ PRO Glow Highlight and Blush palette features six shades (four blushes, one highlighter, and one bronzer), all suitable for most complexions.
New from ColourPop is their Zodiac Loose Pigment Collection, part of the Kathleen Lights collaboration. You can buy all 12 loose pigments in cool, astrology-based packaging, that also includes a lookbook, or buy them individually. These metallic shades have rich colors and blend easily.
The Morphe 35V Stunning Vibes Artistry Palette is truly stunning, as the name suggests. Twenty-eight cool shades range from white to deep purples and blues, along with black, and include duo chrome, metallic, and matte finishes. As with most shadows we are seeing this season, and from this brand, these creamy pigments are deep and true-to-color.
Tatcha Violet-C Brightening Serum 20% Vitamin C + 10% AHA is the newest serum from beloved skincare brand Tatcha. It promises to smooth and brighten and is for all skin types. AHA is a fantastic exfoliant and vitamin C combats dark spots and brightens.
Briogeo’s B. Well Organic + Cold-Pressed 100% Castor Oil nourishes hair and provides vitamin E and ricinoleic acid for hair nutrition and health.
The Ultra Repair BarriAIR Cream from First Aid Beauty is a lightweight cream that is still deeply hyrdrating, with ceramides, linoleic acid, and hyaluronic acid. It is suitable for all skin types and works to strengthen skin’s barrier.
