Yay Monday. You’re back.

I know that usually I’m all for the whole “get your butt out of bed and put your lipstick on” thing on Mondays, but today I’m feeling a little less motivated. Anyone with me? I can tell this Monday is going to be a multiple cups of coffee kind of day.

So I have an idea. How about makeup-free Monday? I know, that’s pretty bold. But why not? We can still moisturize and maybe dab on a little lip balm. Heck. Let’s even brush our eyebrows. But ladies, I’m declaring this Monday makeup-free.

Here’s how to pull off the no-makeup look and still look pretty, giving the impression that you (all together now) woke up like this.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize

This is important when deciding to go makeup free. It’s an easy way to add a dewy, healthy glow to your skin without adding any makeup. And more than that, it’s just good for your skin’s health. Also be sure to use moisturizer that contains at least SPF 15, to protect your bare skin from all those UV rays. While going makeup-free this Monday is a win, it’s important to remember that our BB creams and foundations usually have SPF in them to protect our skin from the harmful effects of the sun. So, moisturize with an SPF moisturizer, ladies!

Curl those lashes

You don’t need to apply mascara (hello, no make up), but it isn’t necessarily cheating to curl your lashes to make them appear longer. While curling your lashes can seem intimidating (that scary clamp doesn’t really help the matter), it’s actually super easy and altogether painless if you’re doing it right.

Step 1: Carefully place curler at the lash base of upper lashes so that your lashes fit in between the curler pads.

Step 2: Press the pads together firmly (and gently), wait about five seconds, and then release. Do this for both eyes, but avoid lower lashes!

Side note: Don’t ever curl your lashes after having already applied mascara! Your lashes can stick to the pads and cause your lashes to be pulled out (yeah, no thanks).

Baby lips

The best way to get luscious lips without technically wearing makeup is to apply a hydrating lip balm. Maybelline’s Baby Lips lip balm is my absolute fave. They make your lips feel amazing while also giving your face this polished look! Chapped lips are common in winter, but totally avoidable with just a little lip balm.

So be bold, fellow ladies. We can show off our makeup skills tomorrow.
